This nice patient came to me after enjoying years of pain relief from her Medtronic spinal cord stimulator. Unfortunately, she suffered a fall and developed a painful broken bone in her spine also called a vertebral compression fracture. She had tenderness right over the area where her MRI showed a recent fracture so I offered her a minimally invasive procedure that involves putting cement in the fractured bone to treat the painful fracture. I saw her a couple of weeks later and her pain was minimal at that point, she had returned to doing her typical activities like socializing with her friends and doing chores around the house.
